First blog of the Journey

The journey thus far in my life has been short, long, dull, exciting, incredibly difficult, inexpressibly amazing, gratifying, dissapointing, spiritual, natural, full of love, full of heartache, interesting, intriguing, exhausting, invigorating; however above all it as been unpredictable.
That is why life is considered a Journey. A gift from God that is laced with joy and sorrow.

Gordon B. Hinkley is an incredible example and one of my heroes. He once said that, "Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

I have been through hell and back all within the past year. In this time, I have witnessed miracles, lived through heartache, experienced both sides of life's spectrum, grown a deeper appreciation for family and friends, and survived that which I never believed possible.

I do thank the Lord for letting me have the ride!
